Leveraging Body Geometry principles, biomimicry, data science, and meticulous craftsmanship, Specialized has created a shoe that redefines the riding experience.

• Adaptive Fit Upper: The new upper features strategically reinforced zones and adaptive fit areas, creating a disappearing fit that molds to your foot.
• Wider Base Plate: Based on Retül foot scan data, the new base plate is 4mm wider at the ball of the foot compared to the previous S-Works 7, offering enhanced comfort and support. Notably, the 'Wide Fit' version's base plate is an additional 4mm wider than the standard base plate (8mm wider than S-Works 7).
• Lightweight Carbon Plate: The optimized carbon plate is 20g lighter than the S-Works 7's plate, featuring an internal "I-Beam" construction to maintain stiffness and power transfer.
• Updated Last: An updated last leverages Retül data to better match the shape of riders' feet, sloping more towards the lateral side for a snug and close-to-foot fit.
• Asymmetrical Heel Counter: Supports the medial side of the heel while reducing material on the lateral side, allowing for a lower collar and improved comfort.
• BOA® S3-Snap Fit System: Independent alloy BOA® S3-Snap Fit System allows for on-the-fly micro-adjustments, backed by the BOA® Guarantee, and the updated cable routing improves lockdown while reducing pressure.
• Adjustable Cleat Position: Titanium alloy cleat nuts can rotate to position pedal/cleats 5mm rearward, fitting all major road pedals with a three-bolt cleat pattern.
• Replaceable Heel Tread: Non-slip, replaceable heel tread with internally recessed screws ensures security and longevity.

Data-Driven Performance: Specialized refined the S-Works Torch’s upper using data science, optimizing fit and performance. The BOA® cable is shifted and angled to prevent lift on the ball of the foot, delivering power-enhancing structure while eliminating pressure points. Adaptive materials allow natural foot movement where needed, while data-driven zonal reinforcement keeps the foot secure for optimal efficiency.

RETÜL-Inspired Design: Guided by over 100,000 foot scans from RETÜL fit data, Specialized designed both standard and wide carbon base plates to accommodate a wider range of foot shapes. The internal I-Beam construction adds stiffness and strength, eliminating the need for additional bracing and reducing weight.

Asymmetric Heel Cup: Following RETÜL biomechanical data, Specialized created an asymmetric heel cup that supports natural knee alignment, providing both comfort and a secure hold.
