The 4Forty MIPS® is designed to withstand the hardships of a life full of trail rides. After all, mountain biking is a challenging sport in which no compromises or compromises can be made on your equipment.
The helmet offers generous ventilation, the comfort of the Float Fit system with built-in Sweat Guide, Extended Rear Coverage, a Full Hard Shell and an adjustable visor.
Full of comfort, protection and many other useful features that are otherwise only offered by helmets that cost twice as much, the 4Forty as a bantamweight for any condition and any kind of trail is no less than the heavyweights below the bicycle helmets.
MIPS
MIPS is a sliding plane system within the helmet designed to slow or prevent the amount of energy that is transmitted to or from the head.
IN-Mold
In the in-mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to it in a single pass during foaming of the impact absorbing EPS inner shell. This makes the helmet even more resistant without any additional weight. This production process also makes it possible to form significantly better ventilation systems and openings. In-Mold helmets are lighter than traditional helmets and have much better ventilation systems.
Float Fit
Bell's most advanced helmet fitting system combines comfort and safety in an ultra-lightweight design. Float Fit™ optimizes the fit of the helmet in 2 ways - in terms of head circumference and vertical adjustment. To reduce weight and simplify handling, the guide arms uniquely enclose the back of the head thanks to the "float" design. This puts the helmet in an ideal position on the head. Simple, light and comfortable.
Goggle Guide
An adjustable visor system that works with goggle or sunglasses, whether the visor is mounted or removed.
