Its redesigned architecture improves chain management, reducing derailleur bounce and chain slap. The derailleur is compatible with 10-52 tooth cassettes and is also backwards compatible with 10-50 tooth versions. This allows cyclists to choose their preferred cassette range while maintaining optimal shifting performance. The GX Eagle rear derailleur features SRAM's CAGE LOCK technology, which enables faster and simpler wheel removal and installation, as well as chain installation. Additionally, the ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH technology eliminates derailleur bounce and chain slap without sacrificing precision. The X-ACTUATION technology, developed specifically for SRAM 1x, ensures precise shifting performance.
