The Shimano SH-GE500 MTB Gravity Enduro Shoes are designed for demanding mountain bike applications such as downhill and enduro. They feature a breathable mesh upper with skater-style lacing and an additional strap for a snug fit and comfort. The shoes are equipped with the Ultread GE rubber compound and a special hexagonal profile, which provides reliable pedaling and walking characteristics. The TORBAL 2.0 midsole plate offers flexibility on the outsides for excellent control, especially on fast descents and corners. A revised pedal channel running from the heel to the toe area ensures excellent SPD stability, even when unclipped. A half-height, multi-layer EVA foam padding effectively protects the feet from impacts while riding and walking. The cleats are positioned in the midfoot area to increase pedaling efficiency. The shoes also feature an asymmetrically raised ankle shaft and a laterally raised sole for additional protection from obstacles on the trail.
