The SRAM Apex 1 Wide DUB Direct Mount crankset is built for entry‑level gravel, cyclocross, and road bikes that use a 1x12-speed drivetrain. It features a single 40‑tooth aluminium chainring mounted via SRAM Direct Mount, providing a wide 47.5 mm chainline for increased tyre clearance. The crank arms are aluminium and available in lengths from 160 mm to 175 mm, pairing with the SRAM DUB bottom bracket system (28.99 mm axle diameter). The X‑Sync chainring design improves chain retention, and the Direct Mount interface reduces weight while increasing stiffness. The crankset is compatible with SRAM’s 12‑speed PowerLock chain and supports bottom‑bracket spacing from 135 mm to 148 mm (Boost).
