Equipped with a MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) layer, the Root MIPS is designed to mitigate rotational forces acting on the head during angled impacts, providing an extra layer of protection on any terrain. The helmet's construction extends over the ears, offering significantly greater safety than a traditional half-shell helmet, especially in the event of lateral impacts. The EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) material used in the ear area and the rear of the helmet is a multi-density material that retains its protective qualities even after multiple impacts.

The fixed shield not only provides protection from the elements but also directs air into the Root MIPS's generously sized ventilation channels, ensuring optimal head cooling. The height-adjustable fitting system allows for a precise and customized fit, and the helmet is also compatible with neck braces.
