Spherical MIPS® Technology
MIPS® equipped helmets reduce rotational force. Spherical MIPS® is a pair of foam layers that work like a ball and socket to redirect impact energy in a crash. The system uses two distinct layers of foam within the helmet, rather than a single layer of foam and plastic liner. One layer is EPS, which is well suited to high-speed crashes. The other is a lower-density EPP foam with rebound characteristics — together they are Spherical MIPS® Premium Protection!
Roc Loc Air
The revolutionary Roc Loc® Air Fit System has the same outstanding features as the Roc Loc® 5, but in addition to that, it dramatically increases airflow and ventilation inside the helmet. The unique design creates a small air cushion between the helmet shell and the head, so that the wind can flow and cool without disturbing the ride without sacrificing fit and comfort. A new level of fit, comfort and ventilation that can only come from Giro.
In-Mold Construction
In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
P.O.V. PLus
The P. O. V. Plus Visor has an adjustment mechanism that allows the visor to be adjusted up and down in 3 steps. In addition, the visor can be pushed up so far that the goggle can be pushed onto the helmet during a break, for example. The adjustment is easy to make with one hand and while driving.
Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Giro's helmets are developed utilizing their proprietary Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system. This elaborate design combines active vents in the helmet’s shell with exhaust channels inside the helmet that thrust fresh, cool air over and around the rider’s head while forcing heat and stale air out. It’s the most effective cooling system available, and a difference you can feel every time you ride.
