The BOA 360° fit system features an adjustable scale for a secure fit and maximum safety. General improvements to the shell shape ensure that the ARO5 Race sits lower on the head for better balance and fits more naturally to the contours of the head.

The ARO5 Race is lighter than its predecessor, the ARO5, thanks to a redesigned shell and other internal modifications.

The Mips® Air safety system is a low-friction layer integrated into the helmet that reduces the rotational movement of the head, helping to reduce damaging forces that might otherwise impact the rider's head.

The ARO5 Race features redesigned front and top vents that greatly improve airflow and breathability. There are a total of 19 vents in the upper, side and rear areas.

The antimicrobial Ionic+™ lining is sweat activated for freshness and odor control.

Front vents give riders a place to easily stow their goggles. Unobtainium®cuffed vents keep goggle temples in place, while cutouts in the foam on the inside of the helmet prevent temples from injuring the wearer's head in an impact, creating an easy and intuitive place to store goggles.

The ARO5 Race features a branding badge with an Iiridium® coating that mirrors the Prizm™ lens colors of Oakley eyewear. Each badge color is unique to the color of the helmet, all celebrating the tradition of Oakley eyewear.
